Backyard Birds are easily attracted to feeders, and/or found in other urban and suburban habitats. This makes them easily accessible and enjoyable in all seasons, to all ages, from the casual observer to the involved participant.

There are many opportunities and resources available to enhance the participation from books to binoculars to citizen science projects, i.e., Backyard Bird and Christmas Counts.
